I remember being just 14 years old when I first played grand theft auto. I had to persuade one of my older friends to attempt to buy the game as shopkeepers were instructed to obey the 18 certificate slapped on the front cover due to the immense media attention the game was getting. In fact the hype around the game was amazing, you couldnt escape it. Every magazine had the images of joyriders and theives coasting around in luxury (and not so luxury) stolen vichicles. Rightly so the game got a load of unwanted attention from concearned parents and even the poilice at one point, who were concearned that grand theft auto was glorifying auto theft, which I suppose it was.
“I’ll buy gta 5, it’s a cult classic for sure!”
No matter what anyone says, the game was a classic title and was the leader of a new video game genre. Many games followed on from this including the Driver series. If you are about to buy GTA 5 then you are likely to have played previous titles in the grand theft auto series and are familiar with the concept. Perhaps the thing I like so much abut these games (and the reason why I will buy gta 5) is the fact that the game sticks to its roots. Of course, the game now offers stunning 3D graphics and landscapes but it is not a million miles away from the very first ‘birds eye view’ games that were first released over ten years ago.

At this moment in time it is difficult to pin down the specifics you most likely want to know before you buy gta 5 but, one thing we do know is that the game will certainly not dissapoint. The teams involved with the production of grand theft auto 5 have put a tremendous amount of detail into the design and development on this installment and if the previous titles are anything to go by the game will not dissapoint!
